Using this site and our services
These terms apply when you use this website or hire Precision Ceres Insulation Services, an insulation contractor based in Ceres, CA. If you browse the site, send us a request or book work with us, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you do.
If a written estimate or contract we give you for a specific job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job.
What we do
We install, top up, seal and remove insulation in homes and some commercial buildings, including attics, walls, crawl spaces and the gaps that let air leak in. You can see the full list of services on our home page and read more about who we are on our About page.
The descriptions on this site are general. What we actually do at your house is what's written in your estimate, because every attic and crawl space is a little different.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no pressure to book, because we need to see the space before we can price it fairly. Your estimate lists the work, the materials and the price we're quoting for that job.
Prices on an estimate are based on what we can see and reach during the visit. Some things only show up once the job is open, like old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, hidden damage or blocked vents, and if we find something like that we'll stop, explain it and get your okay before doing extra work or charging for it.
An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material costs can change, so we may need to update the price before we schedule.
Scheduling, access and cancellations
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays, illness or an earlier job running long can push a date back, and when that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and reschedule with you.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area on the scheduled day, including clearing stored items from the attic hatch, garage or crawl space entry when we ask. If we can't get in, we may need to move your job to the next open date.
Some products, spray foam in particular, need everyone out of the house for a set time before people and pets come back in. We'll tell you that re-entry time before the job, and you agree to follow it and the maker's instructions we pass along.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. If we've already bought special-order materials for your job, or our crew has already arrived, we may charge you for those costs as your estimate or contract describes.
Payment
Your estimate or contract says what you owe, when it's due and how you can pay. If a deposit applies to your job, it will be written there before you agree to anything.
Payment is due on the terms written in your contract. If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until the account is current and may pursue the balance as California law allows.
Warranties and what we don't promise
We stand behind our workmanship, and if something we installed isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty for your job, along with the maker's warranty on the materials, will be given to you with your paperwork, and those written terms are what apply.
Beyond those written warranties, our work and this website are provided as they are, and we don't make other promises, spoken or implied, as far as California law allows. We can't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a specific temperature in any room, because that depends on things outside our work, like your windows, ductwork, HVAC system and how the house is used.
Information on this site is general and may not fit your house. Don't rely on it in place of an estimate or advice about your own job.
Limits on our liability
As far as California law allows, Precision Ceres Insulation Services is not responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your home, lost income or higher utility costs, that come from our work or this website.
If we are found responsible for a problem with a job, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits liability that California law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for our own gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, please talk to us first, because most problems get sorted out faster with a phone call and a visit than with anything formal. Reach us at (209) 225-2797 or through our Contact page, and expect a reply within 1 business day.
If we can't work it out together, either of us may take the matter to a court in Stanislaus County, California, which is the county Ceres sits in, unless your contract says otherwise.
Governing law
These terms, this website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies when you use the site. Changes don't affect a job you've already signed for, which stays under the terms you agreed to at the time.
If you have a question about anything on this page, the easiest way to ask is through our Contact page.
